We’re proud to share that Auburn Village in Auburn, Indiana, has been officially named a Vohra Center of Excellence in Wound Management — the first and only facility in Indiana to receive this honor!
Why This Matters
This national certification from Vohra Wound Physicians, a leader in post-acute wound care, isn’t handed out lightly. Facilities must meet strict criteria to qualify, including:
- Less than 1% wound-related hospitalization rate
- Regular team meetings focused on Quality and Process Improvement (QAPI)
- A Vohra wound care certified nurse available 7 days a week
These requirements ensure that facilities like Auburn Village are not only delivering exceptional care, but doing so with proven results and a team-based, forward-thinking approach.
What This Means for Our Community
For our residents, this award means they’re receiving top-tier, evidence-based wound care—care that minimizes the risk of hospital readmissions and improves healing outcomes. Families can rest easy knowing their loved ones are being treated by a dedicated team of specialists, trained in the most current wound care practices.
For hospitals and care partners, this designation offers a clear signpost: Auburn Village is a trusted, proven partner in post-acute wound care.
A Milestone for Indiana
Becoming the first in the state to receive this designation is a major achievement—not just for Auburn Village, but for the broader Indiana healthcare community. It raises the bar for skilled nursing care in the region and sets a new standard others can strive toward.
We thank our incredible staff for their hard work and commitment that made this possible. You can learn more about the Vohra Center of Excellence program here.
